For a trendy meeting Place with a diverse range of dining options, it's hard to look past Harbord Diggers brand new temporary club, which has become the talk of the Northern Beaches due to its rich selection of feasting delights.
From its rooftop bar and restaurant Gio and family-friendly cafe and bar Dig Inn, to its local providers and the outdoor food truck Diggers Diner, the new-look Harbord Diggers lakes a step away from the traditional club setting.
Leading the way in this transformation is Antonio Ruggorino, head chef of the atmospheric rooftop bar and dining venue Gio, which has Quickly established itself as a hotspot for locals to meet, eat and enjoy a drink.
From its chic interior design, Impressive selection of wine and cocktails and weekly entertainment events, Gio is the antithesis of what many consider a typical club eatery, offering the perfect setting for long afternoons spent indulging in authentic Italian antipasti.

“Our objective is to create a lifestyle offering which incorporates simple, authentic food and fine beverage while showcasing the most gorgeous landscape that is our backdrop - the priceless views of Freshwater Beach and beyond,” Antonio Ruggonno says.
Complementing Gio is the club's downstairs cafe and bar Dig inn - a family friendly dining venue offering a new spin on traditional favourites.Featuring an eclectic garden and new children's play area that overlooks the ocean. Dig Inn radiates relaxed, coastal vibes while serving up a range of contemporary Australian and Mediterranean dishes.
Harbord Diggers general manager, Dale Hunt, says that the club's new look venue is designed to provide a sample of things to come.
“Our temporary new look club is just a small taste of what we have in store. If you haven't visited already, we invite you to come and experience one of our popular dining establishments. Chances are you'll be pleasantly surprised by the transformation that has taken place,” he says.
In addition to its range of culinary offerings, Harbord Diggers is proud to host regular community events that cater to all interests and age groups.
On the second Sunday of each month, motoring enthusiasts gather in the club's carpark for Machines and Macchiatos - a fun, family friendly event where proud car owners can meet, share a coffee and show off their machines.
The club will also restart its Family Fun Days, with the next event to take place on September 25. The popular Family Fun Days are a free family affair, featuring a jumping castle, face painting and lots of games for the kids in the new kids play area in the cafe surf garden.
