Businesses receive support package
Many small local businesses will receive support as part of the NSW Government’s $1 billion Omicron Support package.
Key measures include extended protections for small business tenants and a new Small Business Support Program.
Funding for small business fees and charges rebates has now been increased from $2,000 to $3,000 and rapid antigen test (RATs) expenses included to help provide relief for many small businesses on Sydney’s North Shore.
Eligible small businesses will be able to optimise the rebate to cover half the cost of RATs, among other government fees and charges.
Member for North Shore, Felicity Wilson, is appealing to eligible businesses to take advantage of the NSW Omicron Support Package.
“I look forward to our local businesses benefitting from this increased relief,” Ms Wilson wrote on her social media.
Already registered businesses will receive an automatic top up of $1,000 and newly registering businesses will obtain a rebate of $3,000.
