Lindfield Village Green opens
The Tryon Road car park in Lindfield was recently converted into a new civic space with underground and outdoor parking.
The new green space is capable of hosting large-scale events, such as markets and other outdoor events.
The three levels of underground parking provide 105 commuter parking spaces and 136 spaces for the general public.
The parking is accessible via Milray Street, and a lift will then take people up to the village green from the car park.
Kur-ing-gai Council Mayor, Jeff Pettett, officially opened the highly anticipated $30 million project in mid-February.
“I want to thank the community for their patience during the construction and also the builder, who have done their best to ease any disruption,” Mr Pettett said.
“Residents and business have contributed in many ways to the project, meaning there is a real sense of ownership.”
