Multi-million dollar football ground
A new proposal has emerged for a $4.9 million football ground on Sydney’s north shore.
The proposal would see sporting fields at the North Turramurra Recreation Area transformed into a new training and playing hub.
The development plans were released by the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) in early November.
If the proposal is approved, then the area would have three new synthetic and improved turf playing fields, allowing members to access the facilities in all weather conditions.
The proposal includes a new grandstand, new lighting, a café, community space, physiotherapy room, and 17 toilets.
The development proposal follows demand for more community sports space, as there has been a growing number of players joining Turramurra United, Chatswood Rangers, West Pymble and North Sydney United.
The club’s plans are currently under assessment.
