Pop-up spaces to be trialled in North Sydney

North Sydney Council will soon launch a trial period for two new pop-up spaces in the North Sydney CBD and Kirribilli.

On Miller Street in the North Sydney CBD, parking and loading zones between Berry Street and Pacific Highway will be removed; motorists will not be able to turn left into Miller Street from the Pacific Highway; and a bus stop will be moved approximately 60 metres south.

In Kirribilli, a section of Burton Street between Broughton Street and Humphrey Place will be closed to traffic for six months to create a trial plaza.

Use of the plaza, as well as the impact of traffic, will be assessed by Council in order to make a determination on whether to permanently close the road in favour of the new plaza.

The creation of this new plaza is a major initiative in the Kirribilli Village Centre Masterplan.
