Mosman Art Prize accepting entries
Entries are now open for the 2021 Mosman Art Prize, with the annual exhibition to take place from 15 September – 31 October at the Mosman Art Gallery.
The Mosman Art Prize is the longest running and most prestigious municipal art prize in Australia, with winning entries having formed the basis of the Mosman Art Collection since 1947.
The 2021 edition will be judged by Rhana Devenport ONZM, who became the first woman to hold the position of Director of the Art Gallery of South Australia.
As well as the acquisitive major prize (worth $50,000), there are four other art awards to be won – the Margaret Olley Commendation Award; the Allan Gamble Award (the best painting to explore the theme of ‘the built environment'; the Guy Warren Emerging Artists’ Award for artists under the age of 35; and the Viewers’ Choice Award.
Receiving day for the artworks is Monday 30 August (8am-7pm), finalists will be selected on 3 September and prize-winners will be announced on 15 September.
