Date: From 22-09-2017 to 22-09-2017
The Country Women’s Association of NSW’s Manly branch will hold its annual International lunch on Friday, September 22 at which it will feature Nepal – the country being studied by CWA in 2017.
Manly resident, member of the First Australian Everest Expedition in 1984 and Chairman of the Australian Himalayan Foundation, Simon Balderstone AM, will be the keynote speaker and will give a presentation on the work of the Australian Himalayan Foundation and his lifetime of experiences in Nepal.
Nepal is well-known as the home to Mt Everest but there is much more to this country outside of the mountainous region. Simon’s presentation and the involvement of other members of the Nepalese community in the event will bring a new understanding of this extraordinary country.
Tickets cost $50 each with profits to go to the education grants and charities supported by CWA. For more information or to purchase a ticket please contact Manly CWA President Edna Fairley on 02 9997 5038 or email email@example.com
