Bathroom Renovations Northern Beaches, Brookvale, Chatswood & North Shore
Enjoy the benefits of All Style Bathrooms and Kitchens project managing your bathroom renovations for you
Are you thinking of managing your bathroom renovations independently? Organising the different trades for your renovation project can be tricky. There’s a risk that the project won't run as smoothly as you had planned.
Sometimes tradespeople can say they can't get there on a particular day because they are doing another job.
By doing that, they put other tradespeople off schedule. Which can quickly make a renovation project go pear-shaped.
It can be very hard for an individual to try and coordinate all the trades on a major renovation project.
“My guys work for me constantly, when I give them a job and I say ‘I want you there on Tuesday’, they will be there on Tuesday."
“So the work runs per schedule."
“When it doesn't run per schedule is when we might come across something in the house where we have to stop working until something else is fixed.”
One house had termites and work couldn't go any further until that the termite problem was addressed.
But in general most places don't have these issues and the jobs go pretty smoothly.
When All Style Bathrooms and Kitchens manages your project, you have the freedom to choose your level of involvement and you always have Victoria's guidance available along the way.
The cleanup process after the bathroom remodel is complete
When renovating, there can be a significant amount of rubbish to clear away when everything is complete.
All Style Bathrooms and Kitchens ensure you receive great customer service by including a courtesy clean up of the job site after all the construction and install work has been completed.
“We do a clean on the job site. We remove all rubbish. If it's a kitchen, all the cupboards will be cleaned out and everything will be given a cleanup and a wipe over and vacuum. And same with the bathroom, the tiles, floor, bath, vanity and shower will be wiped down and the job will be left in a fresh looking state."
“It’s not left for you to clean.”
You don't have to get rid of rubbish. You don't have to dust. You don’t have to wipe down the grout and things like that.
While cleanup is provided, please note that it’s not a professional cleaner service and isn't charged as one either.
If you're looking for one stop bathroom shops in Sydney, All Style Bathrooms and Kitchens is a company that takes care of all the important details for you.
Victoria’s first step as a bathroom remodeler is to go out to the site to do a measure and quote for the bathroom.
“I have a look at all the pipework and things like that to know where everything is positioned. I also have to find out from the client exactly what they want to do. They might want to put everything in place exactly the same. I have to find out if they want to knock walls down and extend rooms and things like that. Or put a bathroom in a whole new position. We look at if this is a possibility for you. If we can make this work, we will do it."
“I work out what they want and where they want it.”
Then Victoria goes away and does a 3D design on her computer for the client to review and make any small or large changes as desired.
The quote that Victoria provides is for the labour component.
“I also give them a list of all the items they would need to go into the bathroom. I'll give them my pricing for the bathroom items, but it's up to them if they want to purchase them from me or not. They can purchase the products from me or they can decide to buy them elsewhere."
The client is then given a schedule of work which allows them to know who's coming and when.
The schedule also tells the client approximately how long the job is actually going to take.
When Victoria manages your bathroom renovations, you won't be having to call around to ask questions and confirm details.
Clients can call Victoria any time to ask for example what time certain tradespeople will be coming the following day.
Victoria will find out the information needed and get back to the client.
When the job begins everything gets stripped out of the room.
The plumber and electrician do their rough-in work, which is the basic preparation needed for the work to come.
The renderer also comes in or there might be re-sheeting of the walls, one of the two.
Then the waterproofer comes in. The waterproofing is done by a licensed waterproofer who issues a waterproofing certificate to say it's all done to Australian quality and standards.
The certificate also lists the products that were used to waterproof and other details.
Waterproofing is covered by a seven-year warranty. If there happens to be a leak somewhere it will be looked into further to determine the cause. Is it because the waterproofing failed? Was it because the work is defective, or because there is a broken pipe somewhere?
How much do bathroom renovations cost in the Northern Beaches and North Shore areas?
The price range for bathroom renovations varies depending on the size of the space and the products you choose.
There’s two components to the pricing of a bathroom renovation.
One component is the labour.
And the other component is all the items that go into the bathroom.
Those are what are called PC items which are tiles, taps, vanity, basis, shower screens.
“I do the quote in two components. Because the products I choose may not be what the client wants and some people might want to put down tiles that are worth $30 a metre. Others might want to pay $200 a metre. I give them the option to go with my selections but it's their choice of tiles and PC items. If they go with me the average price range for labour is between about $13,000 and $15,000 average. And PC items are about $5,000.”
So they are looking at $18,000 to $20,000 for a bathroom renovated to completion.
All Style and Bathrooms are mid-range in the industry and Northern Beaches.
Some others in the market charge more for the labour.
“I might still do the same bathroom for someone for say $15,000. Someone else might charge around $18,000. And that's just the labour.”
All Style Bathrooms and Kitchens are fairly competitive within the North Shore market, however PC items have a wide price range depending on which designers products you choose, so the price for those can be anything.
“My items are really well priced. An average tap is $120. You can pay $800 to $900 if you want for a tap. People pay that for various reasons and it's 100% their choice. If a client wants to put in an item for $2000, they can go buy it, give it to me, and I'll put it in."
“Most people don't go for that though. As long as it looks good, they’re happy."
“As long as they like the look of it they go ‘Yeah, that's great, I love it.’”
