Sunset Series

Head to St Leonards Park for free live music, kids activities and a picnic this autumn. Over three weekends, the concert series will be headlined by North Sydney Symphony Orchestra, GODTET and Thando.

Experience an incredible mix of live music, creative workshops, and community fun in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.

Each event features high-quality performances from talented artists, alongside interactive children’s activities and sports demonstrations. Whether you’re a music lover, a family looking for a relaxed day out, or simply keen to soak up the vibrant atmosphere, Sunset Series offers something for everyone.

Event lineup:

• Sunday 16 March – A grand opening with the 50-piece North Sydney Symphony Orchestra, performing everything from classical masterpieces to lively swing tunes. Soulful jazz and folk vocalist Billie McCarthy will set the mood as the support act.
• Sunday 13 April – An indie-inspired afternoon featuring GODTET, a renowned instrumental group blending jazz, psychedelia, and improvisation. Support act BlauHaus will deliver an electrifying solo set of live-looped acid jazz and funk.
• Sunday 11 May – A special Mother’s Day edition, headlined by Thando, a powerhouse vocalist known for her unique fusion of modern soul, R&B, and funk. Natalie Slade, an internationally acclaimed singer, will open with her soulful and enchanting sound.
