Join us for an intimate evening of live music with Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier as they perform at the Art Gallery of New South Wales for the first time.
Conway is one of Australia’s most iconic musicians with smash hits such as ‘Man overboard’ and her debut album String of pearls, which includes the classic single ‘It’s only the beginning’. In 2020, Conway was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia and won the Don Banks Award. In 2022, Music Victoria inducted Conway into the Music Hall of Fame.
Zygier is a composer, songwriter, arranger and producer. He has worked extensively in film and television and has composed for the Australian Art Orchestra.
Conway and Zygier have been writing songs and performing together for over 30 years. During this time, they have released 10 albums and played countless live shows including a theatrical and musical exploration of Conway’s biography, Book of life, all around Australia. This sensational duo is currently in the studio working on a new album.
Doors open at 6pm. Until 7.30pm, you are welcome to buy light refreshments from the Members Lounge and pop-up bar, and enjoy a private viewing of the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes 2025.
