This Father’s Day, treat the family to a night of jazz as the James Morrison Quartet returns to the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Featuring the legendary Australian multi-instrumentalist James Morrison, the quartet has taken the international music scene by storm performing at major festivals such as BBC Proms with superstar Dianne Reeves, Melbourne International Jazz Festival with Patti Austin, and performing at famous jazz venues including Ronnie Scott’s in London.
Morrison has played around the world at major jazz festivals including Montreux, North Sea, Nice and the Hollywood Bowl, and his career includes performances with many of the legends of jazz: Ray Charles, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones and B.B. King, to name a few.
Doors open at 6pm. Until 7.30pm, you are welcome to buy light refreshments from the Members Lounge and enjoy a private viewing of three vibrant exhibitions: High Colour, Janet Dawson: Far Away, So Close, and Raquel Caballero: The Patchwork Portal, all located on lower level 2.
