Warakirri dining experience
With introduction to Yolŋu power: the art of Yirrkala
Join us for an afternoon of art, food and storytelling at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
In conjunction with the exhibition Yolŋu power: the art of Yirrkala, showcasing extraordinary creativity from north-east Arnhem Land, the Art Gallery is proud to host the Warakirri dining experience – a unique culinary and cultural journey created by Ngemba Weilwan woman Sharon Winsor of Indigiearth.
Celebrate the rich world of Australian native foods, botanicals, culture and storytelling with this immersive five-course degustation.
Over four unforgettable hours, you will be treated to a fusion of modern culinary and traditional Australian First Nations techniques. Savour native ingredients and paired beverages while enjoying live performances, musical storytelling and insights into Aboriginal culture and cuisine shared by Sharon.
Held in the Art Gallery’s Naala Badu building, the experience also includes an introduction to Yolŋu power: the art of Yirrkala and a ticket to the exhibition.
View the exhibition before the event, or return on a date of your choice.
